PATH Industry Steering Committee Meets in Boston
PATH's Industry Steering Committee (ISC), comprised of builders, manufacturers, and other housing partners, met on Thursday, September 18, in Boston, Massachusetts. The committee brainstormed on the strategic direction of the PATH program, considering ways to improve current activities and recommending new ideas to explore. ISC members encouraged even wider participation of manufacturers, community officials, building professionals, and others in PATH activities and broadening PATH outreach venues beyond the traditional events. Update on iShow's NextGen 2004 Demonstration Home Project
PATH partner iShow, a Bellevue, Washington communications company focused on providing communications solutions for the residential construction industry, recently announced that the NextGen 2004 Demonstration Home will feature technology products manufactured by the Consumer Electronics Association's (CEA) TechHome Division. The demo home will showcase the products during both the 2004 Consumer Electronics Show and the International Builders' Show. The home will be located on the Las Vegas Convention Center parking lot at the front entrance to both shows, which had more than 225,000 total attendees combined in 2003. The CEA will be joining PATH, the Institute for Business and Home Safety, the U.S. Department of Energy, and others interested in showcasing how the connected home can improve energy savings, home safety, and quality of life for the next generation homeowner.
