PATH Offers New Technologies Session, Research Findings at Affordable Comfort Conference

The Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) was well represented on the program of the Affordable Comfort Conference, held in early April in Kansas City, Missouri.

A panel of PATH presenters delivered an overview of new technologies and the PATH program. The panelists- Mike Crosbie of Steven Winter Associates, Bob Fuller of the NAHB Research Center, and Maureen McNulty of D&R International-offered attendees a panoramic view of PATH activities as well as a look at several of the technologies recently implemented in field evaluations and demonstration sites around the country.

In addition, Kevin Powell of the NAHB Research Center presented PATH-supported research on durability and water-resistive construction in a pre-conference short course, and Vladimir Kochkin, also of the NAHB Research Center, shared research findings on disaster-resistant construction practices.

The Affordable Comfort Conference, an annual industry event, attracts professionals from a wide swath of the building industry, including installers and technicians, policy writers and energy raters, utility and government representatives, inspectors, contractors and builders. The conference attracts industry professionals concerned with improving home performance through energy efficiency, comfort, health and safety in homebuilding, retrofit and renovation. More than 1,000 registrants participated in the conference.
