The Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) will lead workshops for consumers and housing industry professionals during the U.S. Department of Energy's 2007 Solar Decathlon from October 12 to 20 in Washington, D.C.
The workshops are part of the educational component of the Solar Decathlon, which bring students from 20 of the world's leading universities to transform the National Mall into a solar village.
The consumer workshop, "Renovating Green and the 5 Year Plan," introduces homeowners to a wide range of renovations to reduce energy consumption. For professionals, "Presolarizing: What to do before you innovate" highlights steps to take before installing photovoltaic panels.
