PATH Partner Raises the Bar at Southern Building Show
EarthCraft/TecHome Showcase Features PATH-profiled Technologies
Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) Partner Carl Seville is building the innovative
EarthCraft/TecHome Showcase House for the Southern Building Show and Conference from June 20 to 23 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Seville, president of Seville Consulting, is building a Tudor style home that will feature several PATH-profiled technologies, and adhere to the EarthCraft House program requirements for energy efficiency, indoor air quality, sustainability and durability.
The EarthCraft/TecHome Showcase House is an infill project, replacing an existing pre-war house in a developed in-town neighborhood. The house was designed to fit contextually with the existing housing stock while providing the amenities that today's homeowners demand.
Among the PATH-profiled technologies planned:
Precast insulated concrete foundation
- Advanced framing
- Engineered floor systems
- Spray foam insulation
- Tankless hot water heaters with PEX piping
- Right-sized HVAC with mastic sealed ducts
- Controlled ventilation with outside air intakes and Energy Recovery Ventilators
- Recycled materials deconstructed on site
- Recycling all construction waste
- Low VOC sealants, paint, and finishes
- High-performance windows
Media sponsors of the house are

Green Builder Magazine, and the
Southern Building Show. Product sponsors include these PATH Partners:
