PATH Recognizes Manufacturer Partners at IBS
Orlando, FL-- On a sunny morning at the PATH-sponsored "Breakfast of Innovators" at the NextGen Demonstration Home, four housing industry manufacturers received special acknowledgement for their active roles in advancing PATH goals for home performance.
"The strength of PATH lies in the creative energies of our many partners," noted Carlos Martín of HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research, who announced the honored partners. Paul "Buz" Ausley, director of HUD's Orlando Field Office, presented certificates of appreciation.
Among the recipients were:
- DuPont -- for its participation in PATH field evaluations and roundtables; sponsorship of the Concept Home model, and its key role in the new PATH/Home Depot training program to help homeowners in the Gulf States rebuild in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
- Microtherm/Seisco -- for its early efforts with the Concept Home and subsequent Concept Home Product Partnership, and for its sponsorship of the NextGen Home.
- Premier Building Systems -- for its collaboration with other industry leaders to make SIPs technology viable in a range of applications, and its active participation in PATH Roundtables that examined ways to overcome barriers to the adoption of innovation.
- The Sherwin Williams Company -- for its leadership position in durability research, and its sponsorship of the 2006 NextGen Demonstration Home.
Accepting the certificates were Joseph King, global technical manager for Dupont; David Seitz, president of Microtherm; and Gary Eggers, home builders specialist with the Sherwin Williams Company. Steve Sullivan, director of design for Premier Building Systems, was unable to attend.
