Housing Performance Study Begins in Maryland After a Powerful Tornado

The NAHB Research Center began a comprehensive study of housing performance during the category F5 tornado that hit LaPlata, Md., April 28, 2002. Specifically, the study will examine the effect of various building technologies on disaster resistance. The study follows the Research Center's earlier work in natural disaster housing condition assessments.
