Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing organization that builds homes in partnership with families in need throughout the United States and the world.
Field Evaluation Participation:
Habitat constructed a two-story duplex using
insulated concrete forms,
engineered wood and
fiber-cement siding. The building performance was evaluated by performing blower door and
duct leakage testing.
This project evaluated energy consumption and operating costs in side-by-side comparison of two heating systems:
radiant floors using a sealed combustion boiler and forced air with a condensing furnace.
