PROVE-The Program for Research and Optimum Value Engineering

Construction cost savings of $500 million per year will be realized by future home buyers as a result of PROVE (the Program for Research and Optimum Value Engineering). A well-focused research and implementation agenda aimed at improving the efficient design of homes while ensuring cost-effectiveness and safety has been the key to success. Previously known as the Housing Affordability Through Design Efficiency program (HATDE), PROVE has been effectively leveraging NAHB's and HUD's $2.36 million research investments over the past four years at a ratio of 3:1 or greater through meaningful partnerships with other research organizations and sponsors.
