PATH Concept Home Omaha received a Green Building Award from the Flatwater Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council after the home was certified for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for homes program.

The ribbon cutting ceremony and tour of first HUD PATH Concept Home will be at 10:30 a.m., June 6, 2007 at 2503 Parker Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Speakers will include HUD Assistant Secretary Darlene F. Williams; Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey; builder Fernando Pages of Brighton Construction; and HUD Regional Director Macie Houston, Kansas City Field Office.

PATH Builder Partner Fernando Pagés Ruiz and PATH's Glen Salas will appear on "Home Innovations" from 11 a.m. until noon, Sunday, August 7 on WMAL (630 AM) in Washington, D.C. Pagés Ruiz is the owner of Brighton Construction in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the author of "Building an Affordable House: Trade Secrets for High-Value, Low-Cost Construction." Salas is an engineer with D&R International.
