PATH ANNOUNCES THE "TOP TEN TECHNOLOGIES" FOR 2004
To an audience of journalists and building industry professionals, PATH announced the "Top Ten" at the NextGen Demonstration Home at IBS 2004 in Las Vegas. On the edge of industry acceptance, the Top Ten are proven, practical, easy-to-use, and quickly gaining prestige as builders experience the benefits of using these advanced technologies. The identification of the "top ten technologies"is PATH's public effort to prioritize the advanced building technologies most ready for market acceptance. Through yearlong efforts including outreach at conferences, exhibits and on the Web, PATH will work to increase the use of these technologies among builders.

NEVADA-BASED CHARITY REAPS THE BENEFITS OF PATH PROFILED TECHNOLOGIES
The 2004 NextGen Demonstration Home-a PATH-sponsored showcase for the evolution of building science, safety and technology at IBS 2004-was donated to Opportunity Village at the conclusion of the exhibit. The
Nevada-based not-for-profit organization has sold the home and is using proceeds to fund numerous programs for people with mental disabilities.
The modular construction of NextGen gave Opportunity Village great flexibility in selling the home, as it allowed for mobility to any site. The homebuyer, a Las Vegas resident, bought the three-bedroom, two-bath home with solar panels for just under $200, 000. The selling price included hauling the home to its permanent site.
