PATH Partners in Action
ALL AMERICAN HOMES, OTHERS PARTNER WITH PATH IN NEXTGEN DEMONSTRATION HOME
To make the 2004 NextGen Demonstration Home a strong example of modular building, or "stick building in a factory," PATH teamed with Indiana based-All American Homes. Built inside the Colorado plant, the 2,300 square-foot home was constructed in modules where some of PATH technologies were integrated. Other technologies were installed after the home was shipped from Milliken, Colo. to Las Vegas where it was assembled in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
PATH worked iShow and with other project sponsors such as Icynene to ensure a "whole house" approach: a systems-oriented view of housing construction that yields methods of building faster, at lower cost, with higher quality. PATH JOINS PARTNERS TO REVITALIZE SOUTH CHICAGO
PATH joined Claretian Associates in an innovative project to provide affordable housing to low-income families South Chicago. With a total makeover, the New Homes for South Chicago III Development held an open house on November 14. PATH provided technical assistance to ensure that the new South Chicago homes would be among the most energy-and resource efficient in Illinois. Consistent with PATH's vision of reducing energy use and environmental impact, the homes will reduce the overall energy needs by at least 50 percent compared to similar housing built by conventional standards.
