Vice President Sees PATH Benefits for Builders
Vice President Al Gore reiterated the Administration’s endorsement of the PATH agenda May 15 in an address to the NAHB board of directors meeting in Washington. After thanking the NAHB for its leadership role in establishing PATH, Gore said "by working together, we’re going to bring America homes that are safer and more affordable, more durable, more energy efficient, more comfortable. And we’re going to do it through the power of innovations and through the power of the marketplace."
The Vice President called PATH "a potent new partnership to spur technology that will lead to the next generation of American housing." and promised "while PATH will encourage collaborative research to generate new technologies, PATH is going to work just as hard to move these new technologies out to you the builders."
Gore said, "We have a solid foundation built and working hand in hand we’re ready to frame out this house and wire it, plumb it, roof it, and give it a coat of paint. Together we can design and build advanced housing for the future."
