Field Evaluation: American Structural Composites, Inc. The NAHB Research Center, Inc. is currently working with American Structural Composites (ASC), Inc. of Reno, Nevada to perform a field evaluation on their composite panel housing system. This new composite material has many unanswered questions on its cost and performance. This PATH field evaluation will focus on answering these questions. Several candidate builders in the Reno, Nevada area have been identified to construct houses using both the ASC system and conventional construction materials for side-by-side comparisons and evaluations. A side-by-side field evaluation will provide builders with detailed information on just how homes built with this system stack up to those constructed with conventional materials.
