I am adding an addition to my existing
house which is framed by 2x6 wood. I
am interesting in knowing the cost
compared to the standard building
cost. I also wonder whether the metal
frame increases lightning strikes..we
live in Ks. which can have quite
impressive storms! I also want to know
its strength when compared to wood
products. While, you do not seem to
have builders in this area, several
contractors can be hired as this is a
place where barns are built often.
Basically, I want a price comparison of
wood (2/6) with metal for an addition
of approximately 890' feet. Thank you,
