SUBJECT: RE: On demand water heaters

You can find information about On
Demand Hot Water Heaters on PATH's
Technology Inventory at
http://www.toolbase.org/tertiaryT.asp?
TrackID=&CategoryID;=1457&DocumentID;=2130

You should also take a look at a fact
sheet prepared by the U.S. Department
of Energy on "Selecting Water Heaters"
at
http://www.eren.doe.gov/erec/factsheets/
watheath.pdf

It offers concise descriptions of the
different options with some advantages
and disadvantages for both. According
to this fact sheet, an On Demand Hot
Water Heater always provides you with
hot water, but it can reduce the flow
rate, meaning you might have trouble if
more than two facets in your house are
trying to get hot water at the same
time.
