SUBJECT: RE: Seek info-energy effec. Modular Home,Orange Co,NY

The first SIP modular was built this
year.See:
http://www.nahbrc.org/toolbase/pandt/tec
h/abstracts/hymod.html

In moist climates these may not be the
most durable.
Your most durable energy efficient home
will be "Beyond Truss Framed
Construction". These will use non toxic
water based foam between 2X6 studs at
24" on center. The 73% less heat
conducting outside wall stud version
will also use truss plates to hold down
the roof trusses. More on this will come
from the NAHB durability conference at
Madison Wisconsin on 7 November 2000
