SUBJECT: cat 5 wiring

I considering purchasing a new home. One of the options
is a "category 5 wiring package" which would replace
all the std phone wiring and jacks with cat. 5
products. Unfortunatly the sales reps have been not too
helpful when quizzed about this option. The cost is
$910 for complete wiring of a 2400 sq ft house. My
concerns are about the quality of the wiring used.
Would I be paying extra money for wiring with poor
performance? Is the wiring they are installing in this
new "tract house" offer only slightly better
performance than the std cat 2 wiring? Even if these
concerns are true should I spend the extra bucks
anyway? I doubt they will be using rg-6 cable.
