I hired a contractor to waterproof the stone foundation of my 100 yr old home. He started by digging trench to the foot of the foundation, dislodging quite a few stones in the process, some quite large. He claims these stones "were loose anyway
and should be removed". I suspect the structural integrity of our house has been breached. Who's right?
