rgladstone | Posted - 20 December 2002 10:48 It looks like I have to replace my 15 year old washing machine. I briefly looked some options. The top loading model sells for about $600 while this new front loading model sells for about $1000. I understand that these new types use less water, electricity, and soap. for you average family of three, how long would it take to make up the difference of $400. Are these new machines proven ? What is the life expectancy of it ? Not sure whether or not the difference will be worth it. Maybe I would save more by replacing my electric dryer with a gas model.... |
