The World Fire Safety Congress & Exposition is being held at the Minneapolis, Convention Center in Minneapolis, May 20-22. For the first time in 104 years, NFPA is developing a proposed structural code. The first edition of the NFPA Building Code is expected to be complete and presented to the NFPA membership and then to the Standards Council for adoption in 2002. Users can expect the same level of support NFPA gives all its codes and standards, including its advisory service, handbooks, and reference materials. An inspector certification program for the new code is planned, as well. You don't want to miss this historical event. |
